Andrew started his career in the law as a Law Clerk back in 2008, going on to graduate in 2012 with a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Finance at Murdoch University, being admitted to practice in 2014.
Andrew’s love of his role stems from the fact he is inspired by the challenging, demanding and rewarding nature of the law, and the fact he enjoys building strong client relationships and having a positive effect on his clients’ lives and those around him.
Put best in his own words: “Being part of a profession which is so inextricably linked to the effective functioning of community exposes me to working with highly talented and intellectual colleagues (both together, and at the other end of the bar table) and leads to a rewarding, stimulating and very enjoyable career.”
Outside of work Andrew describes himself as a petrolhead, one of his favourite pastimes being “pretending” to be a mechanic as he resurrects and modifies old cars. With five in the fleet at the moment, clearly this is something he takes seriously.
Andrew is also heavily invested in his community and a strong advocate for social change, having volunteered with the charitable organisation Manna since he was 15. Manna is one of the largest providers of meals to the homeless and disadvantaged in Perth, and Andrew spent many years volunteering in their kitchens, going on to join their Board and ultimately taking on the position of Chair for a number of months in 2016.
Andrew specialises in the areas of commercial litigation and property law (especially adverse possession) and has a keen interest in native title and legal costs.
